I’m still asked this question constantly. And it seems so strange because I don’t think they’d ask a question like that of most male writers. It is such a silly, naive question. There is the pretense that women are so delicate, so hypersensitive, so feminine, that we can’t confront adult subjects like war, politics, exploration, science, the law.
